Glenn's Carpentry & Handyman Service
Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Glenn Volk, carpenter, handyman and home improvement specialist based in Townsend Massachusetts.
Six years ago I moved from the MetroWest Boston area to establish my business in North Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. It is not an easy task establishing trust, respect and loyalty in the construction industry. The few unscrupulous contractors out there make choosing a reputable contractor a daunting task.
I would like to thank all the new customers and friends I have met over the past six years. Their referrals and repeat business are a testament to the faith they have placed in me as a person, my workmanship and my prices. I am especially honored by the many referrals. Nice people know other nice people and it would not reflect well on them if they passed on a poor referral. I will do all in my power to maintain your trust.
To those I have not met yet, if you have a project, no matter how small, I ask that you give me the opportunity to meet with you and discuss it. There is no charge for an estimate. If we agree to terms you have gained a professional you can count on and trust. I have gained another customer who will not hesitate to pass on my name to friends and family.
I look forward to meeting you.
My reputation has been built on trust, quality workmanship and reasonable prices.

Why is license and registration important?
A Licensed Contractor has done a minimum of two years of on the job training and extensively studied the State Building Code to pass a rigorous State Examination. Becoming a licensed contractor indicates a dedication to his/her profession and to providing quality, safe construction for their customers.
A Registered Contractor has paid into a State Fund to compensate homeowners for "fly by night" con artists. We have all heard of the unscrupulous contractors that collect deposits and never return or begin the work and never finish. By dealing with a registered contractor you are insured by the State for remediation and possible compensation if that contractor does not complete the job as agreed in writing. Of course, State registration is not a guarantee of quality workmanship. Referrals are always your best protection.
